Justice Clarence Thomas Comments RE: Cannabis Industry Policy

Cannabis federal legalization now has a HUGE boost from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who has termed the U.S. administration’s current stand on Cannabis Policy as "contradictory and unstable".

Justice Thomas’ comments are important as they focus on existing laws which are outdated and not in sync with the legal actions by many states where Cannabis has been legalized.  A Federal Cannabis compliance roadmap is needed as well as a change in how Cannabis is scheduled as a Schedule l narcotic.

Marijuana is a schedule I drug under the Controlled Substance Act passed by the Congress in 1970. A schedule I drug is a dangerous substance that has no recognized medical use and that has a high potential for abuse.
