We have some USA state-related updates to pass along to you. Here's the top info on Cannabis and Hemp (C+H) licensing:

• Virginia passed SB 1202 for adult use.
• On July 19th, 2021, Virginia's Governor Northam appointed the 9-member Cannabis Control Authority's Board. The board will not complete marijuana regulations or begin accepting applications before 2023, but there are several groups that aretrying to push this forward sooner!
   
• New York passed SB 854-A and Assemble Version 1248-A.
   
• Connecticut passed SB 1201 which is the new version of the old SB 888.
• Connecticut's Governor Lamont signed SB 1202 in June of 2021 and by July 31st, the 15 member Social Equity Committee must be formed and that September 1st qualifications for social equity applicants published and 30 days after published qualifications, the state will begin accepting applications for social equity applicants.
   
• Arizona passed Prop 207.
• In early May 2021, Arizona drafted rules with edluded to the use of a lottery. By the end of May, the final rules were published indicating the Social Equity Round will be lottery style.
